Everest Base Camp Trek 13 days is the journey to the base camp of Mount Everest. The finest adventure in Nepal Himalayas is a great challenge and a wonderful achievement. One of the most popular trekking in Nepal, the maximum elevatio4n of the trekking is 5,545 meters above the sea level at Kalapatthar. 
The journey to Everest base camp starts with a scenic flight to Lukla airport; which is considered one of the dangerous airports in the world. From Lukla, the route first goes to Phakding via Dudh Koshi River.  Phakding is a beautiful Sherpa settlement in the lap of the Himalayas. Thereafter, the routes gradually take you to Namche Bazaar; the Sherpa capital. If you are at Namche Bazaar on Saturday then you can see a “Saturday market” at Namche Bazaar. Then spend an extra acclimatization day at Namche. The side trip to Everest's viewpoint is the best trip to do on the rest day. 
Namche Bazaar onwards the route then enters the higher elevation. The route to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar is a gradual uphill. The views of mount Ama Dablam and other mountains are absolutely stunning along the way. At Tengboche, you will get a chance to explore the biggest Buddhist monastery in the Everest region. It is also the place that offers good views of mountains including Mount Everest. The next day, you will be trekking to Dingboche through the rhododendron forest and then to the barren land. Dingboche is the next acclimatization point to adopt the thin air. The side trip to Nagarjun hills from Dingboche is recommended to adopt the thin air and the viewpoint also offers the good views of the mountains too. 
The Everest Base Camp trek then goes to Lobuche passing a glacial river. On the day 8th of the Everest base camp trek; you will be reaching at Everest base camp. Everest base camp is situated at 5364 meters above the sea level where; you can collect the good memories and leave the footprints. The next day morning, before starting the retrace back to Lukla; do early morning hiking to Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar is the best place to see sunrise and sunset in Mount Everest. Situated at 5545 meters above the sea level; Kalapatthar (The black rock) is actually the better place to Everest mountain than Everest base camp itself. After collecting the best sunrise view, start the return back to Lukla. The return route from Everest Base Camp to Lukla is the same way back.
Everest base camp trekking is a seasonal trekking adventure. The best time to trek EBC is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Although trekking Everest base camp is also doable in the months of winter (December to February). But the months of monsoon (June to August) is not recommended due to the heavy rainfall.

    Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International airport; one of the Friday Nepal Travel representatives will welcome you with traditional Nepali garland. You will be then transfer to the hotel in Thamel. Later in the free time, you can take a good rest in the hotel or can walk around the local market.

    The full day Kathmandu sightseeing is dedicated to explore the four of the UNESCO World heritages listed sites of Kathmandu valley. Those four sites to visit are; Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Boudhanath Monastery. Post sightseeing, you can do the packing.

Start early this day. You will first take a short drive to Kathmandu airports’ domestic terminal. From there you will be taking a scenic flight to worlds’ most adventurous airport of Lukla. At Lukla, you will meet your rest of the trekking members (porter(s)). From then, you will start your fascinating trekking journey to Everest. The route to Phakding is a combination of easy trails with some gradual hikes via Cheplung village. Along the way, the fine views of Mount Khumbila – the sacred mountain can be seen. Phakding is a small settlement at the lap of the Himalayas.

    The route from Phakding to Namche Bazar first goes through the pine forest. After some time, trek you will cross the suspension bridge of Dudh Koshi River. You will then get to Monjo- the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. The route then becomes steep onwards to Namche. On a clear day, you can get the first sight of Mount Everest just before reaching Namche Bazar.
Namche Bazar is the business hub at Everest. You can buy the trek necessities at Namche Bazar, just in case if you have forgotten anything in Kathmandu.

    Do a two hours hike to Syanboche, one of the best places to see mountain views. The top offers the best views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. After that get back to Namche Bazar for the lunch. Later, you can explore the famous Namche Bazar if you want to.

    The route first descends to the Dudh Koshi river and to Phungi Thanga-a beautiful village by the side of the Himalayas. From then, the ascends start through the rhododendron and the pine forest. The best views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde will be together along the way. 
At Tengboche, you will get the chance to explore the biggest and the most beautiful monastery inside Everest region. You can also enjoy the best views of mountain including Everest at Tengboche.

    The trail descends through the forest of rhododendrons and conifers with the magnificent views of the mountains. The beautiful Pangboche monastery, the Imja and Lobuche river are some of the major attractions for the day. Dingboche is a small settlement at the lap of the Himalayas where you will be spending your next two nights.

    After the breakfast, you will be taking a short hike to Nagarjun hills. The top offers the greater views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache and Ama Dablam. Then come back to the hotel and for the good rest.

    Take a first ascend to Dughla via the Khumbu glacier terminal. The steep route then goes to Chupki Lhara- where many memorial stones with prayer flags can be found which are kept in the memory of the people losing their lives at the Everest mission. Furthermore, continue your trekking with the finest views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and sMahalangur Himal to Lobuche.

    Get to Gorakshep first. Leave your stuff there and start the hike to Everest Base Camp with just your day pack because you will be coming back to Gorakshep for the night stay.  Trek through the rocky dunes, moraine and streams to get Everest Base Camp. At the base camp, you can see the amazing set up tented camps. The base camp offers the finest views of Mount Pumori, Mount Lhotse plus Khumbtse. Then after get back to Gorakshep for the night.

    We start the hike early morning around 4:30 am to Kala Patthar. Kala Patthar is the best place to see the greatest view of Mount Everest. The mountain looks absolutely stunning once the sun rays hit its top. After collecting the best views, get back to Gorakshep for the breakfast.  
Then start the descend towards Pheriche for the night.

    Follow the further downhill route from Pheriche. Through the rhododendron forests, crossing the Dudh Koshi river and passing the beautiful villages. The magnificent mountain views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse will be with you to reach famous village of Namche Bazar again.

    The route from Namche to Phakding is mostly downhill. Relatively short day of trek, you can start late as well.

    Final trekking day. Descend further down to Lukla from where you will be taking the flight back to Kathmandu next day. In evening, join the dinner with your crew members as the porter(s) will be saying bye from today.

    Take a scenic morning flight back to Kathmandu. From the airport you will be transferred to the hotel. Later, you can do some last-minute shopping at Thamel.

    The fantastic adventure comes to the end. Our team member will transfer you to the Kathmandu International airport to catch your returning flight with a hope to welcome you in Nepal again.
